The EU Circular Economy Missions are a series of high-level political and B2B meetings in third countries to communicate and promote sustainable and resource-efficient policies. The purpose of the mission is to increase cooperation between the EU and third countries in the field of environmental policy and achieve a better understanding of the environmental challenges faced by third countries.

Urban Gateway carried out its 2nd Trade Delegation in New Delhi. B2B meetings were organised by the Gateway team during the 13th annual CII (Confederation of India Industry) Sustainability Summit for the member companies. The aim of these meetings with the Indian stakeholders was to help international companies to meet the right people and win business in India


Four Gateway member companies were part of this delegation to India. They were introduced to various Indian stakeholders during the B2B meeting sessions and have made good contact. The Indian stakeholders understood the technology/product/solutions offered by the member companies and assured their support to them.

How Urban Gateway Program is working for DFID:

The objective of the Urban Gateway is to work with DFID and wider HMG and other interested stakeholders to bring financial investors, urban experts and an international supply chain to India to help achieve the goals of the Urban Partnership. This will involve connecting international businesses to the development of India’s cities, so as to enhance the development and prosperity of India
